An ode to texture. This carinated bowl sits elegantly as a stand alone sculptural object. The off-white exterior is juxtaposed against the textured brown interior. The textural interior shows the result of repeated swipes of the maker’s hand with wet layers of clay, building a unique landscape of colour and movement.

Hand constructed from Australian stoneware and local terracotta.
Fired to 1280C in my studio on Kaurna Country, Prospect, South Australia

Measures 30cm wide x 10cm high. This piece is one-of-a-kind.
